To the Men
of FAMC
This mission didn't start in 2014. This is over 30 years of work— built on discipline, brotherhood, and a belief that men deserve more than silence.
I write this letter with a full heart, deep concern, and even deeper belief in who we are—and who we can still become.
Back in 2014, I began to notice something that I could no longer ignore. Too many men—especially those of us over the age of 50—were quietly struggling. Heart attacks. High blood pressure. High cholesterol. Diabetes. Stress that never gets talked about. Pain that never gets addressed.
And the truth is… I wasn't just seeing it.
I was living it.
Like many of you, I carried the weight—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. And what I came to understand is this:
Men are not just dying early…
We are suffering in silence before we ever get there.
But understand this clearly:
This mission didn't start in 2014.
This is over 30 years of work.
I was introduced early to structure, discipline, and opportunity through the National Youth Sports Program at just 24 years old. That experience didn't just shape me—it gave me purpose.
That purpose led to a football scholarship at the University of Minnesota, where I learned what it meant to compete, to grow, and to represent something bigger than myself.
And before that, my foundation was built through excellence—recognized by my induction into the High School Hall of Fame, a reminder that greatness starts early—but must be sustained.
Along the way, I built relationships with leaders and mentors, including connections tied to Tony Dungy, reinforcing the values of leadership, discipline, and character both on and off the field.
What We Built for Others
But what I'm most proud of is what we built for others.
Through the A.C.E. (A Commitment to Excellence) Institute, we created a program that served over 3,000 youth per year.
Thousands of lives impacted through structure, discipline, and belief.
That wasn't just a program.
That was a pipeline for success.
The Run for Excellence
Then came one of the most physically and mentally demanding challenges of my life:
The Run for Excellence.
A long-distance endurance run from Minneapolis to Duluth and back—hundreds of miles with one goal:
Raise money. Create opportunity. Change lives.
That effort generated scholarship support for students attending the University of Minnesota and showed young people what commitment truly looks like.
Recognition and Responsibility
That work didn't go unnoticed.
Through years of community impact and fundraising, our efforts reached a national level—earning recognition from leaders including Bill Clinton.
But let me be clear:
It was never about recognition.
It was always about responsibility.
I Never Walked Alone
And through it all, I never walked alone.
My brother, Maurice Foxworth—an accomplished attorney—has stood beside me not just as family, but as a voice of wisdom, accountability, and strength. His belief, along with so many other men, is one of the reasons FAMC is being reborn today.
I've spent a lifetime building solutions.
And FAMC…
…is one of the most important ones yet.
The Jesse Owens Theater Moment
While working at Delta Airlines, I created what was first known as F.A.D.A.S.—a simple idea: bring men together and start the journey back to health.
Not just physically…
But mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.
We met in places that felt real—like a movie theater watching Race, the story of Jesse Owens.
Before the movie even started…
Men started talking.
Doctors spoke. Coaches spoke. Professionals spoke.
But most importantly—
Men spoke.
And for many, it was the first time.
COVID Disconnected Us. We're Rebuilding.
For over 15 years, that space became a movement.
Then COVID hit—and like everything else, it disconnected us.
But here's the truth:
We were never meant to do life alone.
Now, we're rebuilding.
Stronger. Wiser. More intentional.
This is more than a club.
This is a brotherhood.
We are not here to embarrass men.
We are here to empower men.
Health is important.
But living—with purpose, with brotherhood, with strength—
that is even greater.
So to every man reading this:
You are not too old.
You are not too far gone.
You are not alone.
This is your time to stand up.
This is your time to take control.
This is your time to live.
Welcome to the FAMC.
